WHY SHORT STORIES?Downloading a short story has become a popular form of online reading and with  the conversion of a large number of short stories( from  paperbacks or hard cover books)to the online form, it is now easy to quickly download books for almost immediate reading - a  popular style for short span reading. 

With the huge surge of resources available online, inculcating knowledge to children has taken a whole new dimension...and 'Download' is the answer (the success of electronic readers highlights this). 

Downloading links to articles allows pupils to reach beyond the curriculum, and teachers can direct students to download material to help expand their grasp to a greater insight into the subject or'course' material.  To promote the reading habit what better than the short story? Remember Aesop's Fables? They were the shortest of stories and kept kids riveted.

Children can download online fiction books, poem collections, or plays,  it is easy to build a collection or library, for the Internet has brought home online libraries at little cost. To download online fiction books or short stories , parents need not spend a fortune. They can provide their children the best reading material in the comfort of their homes. 

Story download can be done easily and quite cheaply. Some websites allow the reader to peruse the first few chapters, or skim through  pages; the book thereafter must be paid for and downloaded at a fraction of the printed book cost.

This method of reading is gaining appeal since it saves one the effort of going to a brick & morter bookstore to purchase a physical copy. The option of ordering books online and paying via credit card is available  too and is very popular .

It is safe to conclude that the culture of reading can be enhanced in the Young with story downloads to ones PC/lap-top or an electronic reader like Kindle, Nook, Samsung, etc.
